Jonathan Butler ("we", "our", or "us") built CloudPulse Mobile as a free app. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use CloudPulse Mobile ("the App").

Information We Collect

Push Notification Tokens

If you enable push notifications, the App collects your device's push notification token (provided by Expo and Apple Push Notification Service or Firebase Cloud Messaging). This token is used solely to deliver cloud service update notifications to your device.

Locally Stored Preferences

The App stores your preferences (such as selected filters, theme settings, and notification settings) locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or location.
• We do not use analytics or tracking services.
• We do not serve advertisements.
• We do not create user accounts or require sign-in.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Expo (expo.dev) — Used for push notification delivery. See Expo's Privacy Policy.
• Firebase Cloud Functions (Google) — Used to poll for new cloud updates and trigger push notifications. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft (microsoft.com) — The App fetches publicly available cloud service update data from Microsoft's Azure and Microsoft 365 APIs.
• Amazon Web Services (aws.amazon.com) — The App fetches publicly available cloud service update data from the AWS API.
• Google Cloud Platform (cloud.google.com) — The App fetches publicly available cloud service update data from the GCP release notes feed.

No personal data is shared with these services. The App only retrieves publicly available information from them.

Data Retention

Push notification tokens are stored on our server only for the purpose of delivering notifications. Locally stored preferences remain on your device until you uninstall the App.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The App is a technical utility intended for IT professionals and cloud computing enthusiasts.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
